What is MLS Laser and how does it work?

MLS stands for Multiple Wavelength Locked System. This means the device is emitting two different wavelengths of laser light. Each wavelength has been shown to work at reducing either pain or inflammation. This is also referred to as "Cold" laser therapy. No heat is produced by the laser.

The laser light works to stimulate the mitochondria inside the cells the light touches. This makes the cells more active. The net effect of this on injured tissue is to improve capillary blood flow, reduce pain and reduce inflammation.

MLS laser light penetrates up to two inches into the body, ensuring that nerves, injured ligaments, muscles, fascia and even bone can be treated.

MLS laser treatments are non-invasive. There is no anesthetic required, no injections, and no incision.

We have many patients with great results using MLS laser. If you are interested in MLS laser for your painful foot, ankle or leg problem, call us today!
